Clearout & Migration

70013 is going to spend a couple of weeks at B&KR before doing GB II tour, also on Fife circle on 18/04/2010 if anyone fancies a trip to Scotland .

Scots Guardsman also expected to be stabled at B&KR from 10 - 13/ 04 /2010.

Hi all,

I have created a new button for anyone wishing to add any Steam news such as Galas or Mainline running times etc at the top of the main forum screen. This is called Steam News Calendar. If it prompts for a password; the password is Steam.

Please can some one try it out and let me know the outcome. It will open in a new Window and will show an icon which will need clicking onto to take you to the Bravenet hosting site.

Any problems, please let me know.

Hi all,

I am thinking about having a cleanup of the Forum by reducing the main page slightly. I would like to get as much feedback as possible from other members of the forum for ideas about which sections to keep and which to remove. From here I will move any threads into relevant old or New sections.

I have added a new item to the Steam News Calendar dated the 12th Feb 2011. All/any new events shall be posted here in due course. Please keep an eye out and if any members would like to add any events, please do so by clicking on http://nineelms.freeforum.me.uk/portal[/b][/i][/u] up at the top of the Forum screen. Any problems please let me know via PM or via posting to this thread.

Has anybody got any good ideas to the above to try and reduce the length of the main screen. My intention is to make it alot more user friendly.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Hi all,

Just to advise that since i have now got the Steam news Calendar feature to work as it should now - The other Calendar tab has since been removed.

This is part of my ongoing process to try and reduce the amount of options/threads as part of the Migration/Clearout stage.

As part of the ongoing process. I have now moved all relevant posts from the old thread called Steam to other relevant threads and removed the Admin and Moderator Thread section and moved all posts to the Forum Information section.
You will notice a few other changes over the coming days.
The Preserved section is now called Mainline & Preserved Steam to discuss any Mainline from yesteryear to the current day as well as all/Any preserved steam such as overhauls etc to the current day.

How would members feel if I put the Diesel & Electric sections into one section?

Would members prefer some of the shed sections removed or incorporated elsewhere? Please let me know. There hasn't been much conversation in these parts; so if it makes the layout easier; please let me know you're thoughts and ideas.
