Exmouth Junction - 72A

Post by 35005CP on Tue Jun 16, 2009 4:45 am

Hi all,

Do members think it would be a good idea to add Exmouth Jct to the list of sheds? I feel this shed possibly has alot to tell also?

Failing that any posts can be added on top of this.

Any ideas please let me know.

Thanks

Andy

Admin. In my opinion,Ireally dont think its worth including Exmouth Jnct to the Sheds list. Nor the sub-sheds Barnstaple and Ilfracombe. The reason I say this, because I know only of one Fireman from (G. Hooper) whom moved to Nine Elms for his appointment as a Driver.Because promotion was slow, and the fireman, were as old as their Drivers. And 34107, whom worked into the Shed. Sadly, many are no longer with us, and the few that are, are not PC trained.

As a lad, enthusiast in the 50s, I went round the shed many times?

But then you have the option of adding posts on top of the "Exmouth Jct" thread...
So was Gordon Hooper at Exmouth Jct? If so, I didnt know that! I might be doing the round robin myself at the Nine Elms reunion! Laughing

34017, do you know many other ex-Exmouth Jct guys still with us today? Or maybe 34107 might be in contact with a few? (Just a thought)

You always managed you're way into sheds!!! Wish you could get away with it now-a-days!!
